About Us

Dairy State Bank was founded in 1952 when a group of local businessmen thought it was time to have a second bank in the City of Rice Lake. The bank began with the support of many local residents purchasing one or two shares of stock to provide the initial capital investment. A number of those original investors are still owners of the bank.

Over the years the bank has gone through many changes bringing it to where it is today. There are currently ten banking locations with the main facility located in Rice Lake and branches in Birchwood, Colfax, Downsville, Haugen, Menomonie, Prairie Farm and Wheeler. Through the efforts of many people and the support of many loyal customers, Dairy State Bank has become one of the largest unit banks in northwestern Wisconsin.

We have now been serving Rice Lake, Menomonie and the surrounding areas for over 50 years and our goal is to continue to remain an independent bank. Current owners and directors believe there are many advantages to our customers and the communities we service to remain independent. With that in mind, the bank constantly strives to provide a complete product line with the best customer service possible at a competitive price. By meeting these objectives, the bank will be able to remain independent for years to come.
